A four day fully catered retreat in the beautiful landscape of the Hope Valley and the High Peak.
We will be spending time together and in solitary practice, as desired, away from our busy lives.
Time out just to be. Extended periods of silence. Mindful eating and mindful walking. There will be opportunities to practice guided contemplation and contemplative prayer.
A chance to step into Stillness.
Our guides for the week will be associate members and friends of the community Annique Seddon and Hazel Rowntree.
Annique Seddon ran a counselling service and a chaplaincy in a tertiary college. She retired to work as an Associate Tutor for Woodbrooke, leading reflective courses and retreats and as a personal tutor on the Equipping for Ministry course.
Hazel Rowntree grew up in a Quaker family and also practises living mindfully. She has recently retired from work at a local hospice as a Palliative Care counsellor. She also has worked as an Associate Tutor at Woodbrooke, mainly facilitating retreats and courses on Death, Dying and Bereavement.
